About Me
Background
Alyssa's academic and professional passions have always included Personal Growth, Social and Human Development. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a BA in Sociology. After a career in teaching and student/parent administration, Alyssa turned her focus on the macro areas of social and human development.
As Director of Middle School Programs for a prominent New York non-profit, Alyssa developed and directed programs to enhance academic, behavioral and career development for at risk girls.
Her love for working with people one on one, propelled her to earn her MA from Liberty University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Alyssa has worked in agencies focused on childhood & family trauma and in-school counseling. In private practice she specializes in relationship conflict, life adjustments, identity formation, finding your purpose, anxiety, and trauma. She is also a Certified Life Coach specializing in Spiritual Life Coaching and Christian Counseling.
